The World Congress 2023 WFDSA organizing committee visit Dubai

This week has been extraordinary for our Direct Selling Association (DSA) as we welcomed the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) 2023 organizing committee to Dubai for a site inspection.

There were so many highlights for the team but one that really stood out was meeting His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed Saer Al Qassimi, a true visionary and testament to how open the United Arab Emirates is to the Direct Selling industry, to business growth and to expanding the industry into the region.

High Level Government Meetings

We hosted many further high level government meetings including meeting His Excellency Helal al Marri (Director General of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism), His Excellency Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry (Director General Tourism Abu Dhabi), the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority team as well Iyad Rasbey (Vice President of Tourism for RAKTDA). These meetings allowed our DSA and the WFDSA to showcase the direct selling  industry and the opportunity it brings to the UAE region. The message we conveyed to them was met with incredible positivity and opened doors for real partnerships between our DSA and the various Emirates not just for the upcoming congress but for the future of the industry in this region.

Site Visits

The week wouldn’t be complete without many venue site visits including the Grand Hyatt which will play host to this year’s congress, as well as a fam trip to the beautiful Abu Dhabi.

A very busy week for the team but one that highlighted to all involved the opportunity and impact that the upcoming World Congress will have on the region and the industry.
